About The Garden House
Hello!
How did you find us? Were you looking for gardening pages? If so, yes we have some of those, but that’s not exactly what we are about!
You can learn a bit about our history, we have been around for more than 10 years! We are a group of women who set out to make the Internet a better place, showcase our talents, meet and greet one another, and form friendships.
As you can read in our creed, we are accepting of women over the age of 18 who abide by our terms and guidelines. We are a small group of around 50 active members If you want to join just to have a pretty graphic on your web ring page, then this is not the place to come to!
If you are considering membership, please note that our emphasis is on participation in message board posting. We require posting. If you cannot fulfill that requirement please do not apply! We will drop you from membership if you don't post.
You may surf our webrings, but you may join only if you are a member.
We help each other out! There are resources for our members to explore for those times in life when we’re hitting bumps in the road. Well-Being is what we are striving for!
Overseeing the group, managing pages, and paying for our website are the Garden Keepers. The number has varied over the years from 5 to slightly over 10.
While we are of different religions, we are not a "religious" group. We feel that religion is a personal issue and don’t practice it openly in our house. This keeps the peace! We accept one another as we are. We do not dictate to our members whether they may or may not belong to other groups - because they are ___ or are not ___ (fill in the blanks). We feel that women are intelligent creatures who are capable of making their own decisions on whom they would like to belong to and whom they should avoid.
We are a very peaceful group, we do not allow fighting on our message board. We do not go about trying to convince each other of our points of view. We recognize our strong points and build on those rather than dwell on our differences.
